We want our ethical values to resonate throughout our business, including how we market and sell our specialist blended soil. With a huge amount of green washing and lack of knowledge in our sector, it’s important to us to stand out as doing things differently.

I want to be part of the solution. Ethics in business is a core value for Ipsa and the sales and pricing process is a big part of this – we want to lead the way and encourage others to do the same.

I am making the ethical move because I believe in honest & transparent communication and will always put the person before the sale. I’m tired of the manipulative marketing tactics that I see – and have fallen for – and want to help spread the word that there is a better way to sell. By taking the pledge, I will be kept accountable for the way that I sell and market my business.

Companies seem to be able to get away with pushing ads to us based on the a business model that if 99.995% won’t buy but 0.005% will. That kind of wastage and pollution just isn’t build on a humanistic intention but is ego-driven. Moving from that ego space albeit human needs to be carefully questioned, understood and healed and ads / ad world / consumerism are part of that same universe that involves truth, moving from grounded-ness and compassion.

I’m making the pledge because I’m getting older and grumpier. But with that comes wisdom; I see through lies easier and I’m less impressed by big words and glossy campaigns and meaningless promises. I despise waste and thoughtlessness. I value simplicity and authenticity. As a marketer, I’m not prepared to add to the unnecessary noise in people’s lives.

Typical marketing manipulation and persuasive tactics are lazy. We all deserve better.

As a person who has faced minor discrimination, I know the harm of anything that makes the world less accessible, less diverse, less inclusive, etc. Ethics is a huge part in that, and I strive to be as ethical as possible in my work and personal actions. This is a simple way to let current and future clients know what I stand for when I am marketing to them or for them.

As a Funnel Builder & Designer who is constantly exposed and educated about various sales and marketing tactics, I want to be part of this change. I have always believed that we can choose to sell and market our products and services with integrity and transparency. We don’t have to rely on manipulative, psychological tactics to get a sale because products and services that truly provide value can do that effortlessly AND will speak for themselves. I pledge to be as transparent and honest as I can in my own marketing, and in educating my clients that there are better ways to sell and market their products and services.
