I’m making the ethical move because I value honesty, transparency, and consent. I want prospective clients to feel respected and supported – not manipulated or condescended to.

Because in COVID my face to face business had to entirely rebrand to go digital which meant a LOT of new learning for me. I was astounded by how underhand the tactics are to engage you and how these are taught. I have zero problem with lead magnets being used to collect my details as long as they are of value. I have lost count of the number of challenges, webinars, etc. I have done that have had zero content – just a sales pitch followed my endless spamming which is a waste of time and if you do sign up, it often leads to buyer’s remorse. I do not want my customers to sign up and immediately regret it, I want my customers to know they are part of our family and are valuable to us. If that means we grow slower than we otherwise may – so be it.

When I created my business I did it with the intention to make every feminist person, whatever they were in their journey, proud and seen. I always wanted to create a business and community based on values and that goes in every single stage of our process!

I’m pleased I just have 2 points to sort to tick them all. I’ve naturally been open and honest as that’s how I am.

I signed the pledge because I believe in autonomy and consent for both buyers and sellers, and I’m happy to find others who do, too.

I am a practising Christian and charity fundraiser. I already run my business on ethical grounds.

I’m making the ethical move because I am fed up with the manipulative, patriarchal ways of business (and life). We’re adults, we’re capable of making our own decisions (and if not we can seek appropriate advice) without being marketed to in ways that are demoralising and degrading.

The old way of marketing is dying and it can’t happen soon enough. I want to be a part of a world where people sell their products the right way instead of making people feel icky just to bump up sales numbers.

I have worked in branding, marketing and design for well over 30 years. I have witnessed unethical practices from some clients in the past and abhor the disregard for people, animals and planet for the sake of profit. Therefore I have taken a stand. I set up my business to help people on an ethical journey develop their values and brand story because I believe that ethical is the future of business.
