I’m making the ethical move to publicly live in accordance with my own values; showing that I practice what I preach and stand against manipulative, exploitative marketing tactics.

We are making the ethical move because we’re tired of customers being treated poorly. Dark patterns are everywhere and the status quo rewards businesses that go after the quick wins instead of the right wins. We believe the ethical move isn’t just the right thing to do, there are strong benefits to operating an ethical business.

I am a procurement leader who struggles with modern marketing techniques, more so now as the founder of a new social network, and ideation platform. I have never been comfortable with current marketing practices, and see how it is adversely impacting society. I want to be at the forefront of changing and improving our world, this is one great step in that direction.

I am making the ethical pledge because I hate feeling under pressure to buy as a customer (countdown timers, fake limits) and I NEVER want my clients to feel that way.

I am making the ethical move because I believe in prioritizing people over profit and I’m tired of seeing unethical strategies being used to manipulate people. It’s time for a change!

I believe there is a better, more integrity-filled, and beautiful way in which to “be” online and in business. I don’t have to compromise any of it (or myself) in order to be about my work in the world. – thankfully!

I am making the ethical move because ethical marketing aligns with our values and creates more equity for our students, most of whom are nonprofit leaders. As a mission-driven business serving other mission-driven businesses, it just makes sense. And, as we push for grant-makers to be more equitable, we must do the same.
