Honestly, as a copywriter who is newer to the industry, and as someone who comes from a background of working with nonprofits (Indigenous, disability rights, mental health) and academic institutions, many marketing tactics feel inauthentic or downright dishonest. I find myself pushing against mainstream “best practices” and am thrilled to find a community where ethical marketing is the norm, not the exception.
