I am taking the ethical move pledge because, in a world where people are increasingly fearful of fraud, scams and AI, bringing with it a fear of things not being as they seem, it is ever more important to stand out by standing up for transparency, integrity and authenticity. Building trust is more important than ever.

I am making the ethical move because it’s time to stop selling the overnight 50k months with icky sales techniques and playing on pain point marketing. I pledge for marketing that is consent-based and ethical.

As a practitioner of implicitly manipulative mediums, I believe art & design has the power to change the way people speak, think, feel, respond & interact. As such, it is my moral obligation to educate & empower people about community, the environment and the human condition. I strive to make work that is functional, accessible & delightful in ways that respect human rights, human experience and human effort. My work is born from a place of empathy for the people I serve. I commit to telling the truth about the world by drafting a helpful code of public discourse and by creating work that encourages more laughter and joy. I pursue problems worth solving by manufacturing demand for things that are essential. I offer my help by addressing the environmental, social and cultural crises that demand attention. And I engage in open dialogue by prioritizing lasting and democratic forms of communication. By taking the pledge I commit to uphold these beliefs and ideals in everything I do.

I am convinced that only ethical companies can contribute to a better future and protect both the planet and society. Furthermore, only ethical businesses can achieve true sustainability. If we want to create a better world for future generations, we must consider ethics as the foundation of running a business.

I’m taking the ethical pledge because I want to market the way I want to be marketed to: fair, transparent and ethical. I’m part of an industry where a lot of coaches use manipulation, false promises and scarcity tactics to lure in clients. I don’t want to be one of these coaches. I take the ethical pledge to commit to marketing ethically and transparently, raise the visibility of ethical marketing practices and keep myself accountable to improve my practices.

Being born and raised in a high-control, coercive religious community has opened my eyes to how similar coercive tactics are used in business models. I am taking this pledge because I care deeply about people over profit and building an organization that advertises and markets itself using consent and facts, not coercion.

I want to leave the world a slightly better place than I found it. That means communicating with honesty, acting in the best interests of the community, and helping audiences make the best possible decisions.

I’m taking the pledge because I’ve been doing the work for a few years and am always looking for opportunities to team up and collaborate with others who are doing marketing differently. My approach is “Just Marketing®” which reflects a commitment to justice through marketing that is ethical, inclusive, and accessible.

I want to be a business that makes the world a better place by offering services that are beneficial to others and not manipulate them into purchasing something that doesn’t help them.
