If we keep doing what we’ve done before, we’ll keep getting what we’ve got. It’s time to put the mission before money. It’s time to work for positive change.

I live in the world of sales and marketing, so I have a spidey-sense for when I’m being duped or manipulated. But many consumers don’t — and they shouldn’t have to. It’s our responsibility to wield our power as marketers to educate, delight, empathize with, and persuade customers with heart so they buy what we’re selling for the right reasons.

I help AuDHD people love their brains. I dream of people being so abundantly supported and self-loving that my work becomes irrelevant! And part of that dream is marketing ethically in the meantime.

I’m making the ethical move because it chimes with my approach in other parts of my business and I want my marketing to reflect this open, authentic mode of being

I am making the ethical move because it makes sense. As someone that continually practices integrity as a way of being, how could I not be a part of this movement? Plus, shady marketing sucks for everyone.

Both my company brand and personal brand are making this pledge as we’ve been practicing ethical sales and marketing since we’ve begun 6 years ago. Seeing and experience the deceitful tactics used by traditional sales, going off the base of fear, made us set out on a completely different direction from the beginning. Only one year ago we also pivoted our agency and my personal brand to focusing on working with positive impact brands. With my personal goal being to build 1000 positive impact brands. This pledge aligns perfectly with the mission I’m on.

I am making the ethical move because I am tired of being sold to in a manipulative way and I don’t want to be part of the problem. I offer affordable health services in an area that I can no longer afford to live and want to continue without penalising people by putting up my prices. I want to continue to be genuine in how I sell to people so they feel welcome and that they receive value.

When it comes to sustainability, marketing can be a very powerful means toward showing people how a brand is part of the solution. Every day we see more and more cases of misuse and greenwashing rooted in unetical marketing approaches (e. g. Climate Neutral Labels with “ghost certificates”). This is why we are more responsible than ever to use marketing in sustainability wisely!
