Pledgees.
Emma Wilkins | Sweetgrass Digital
July 18, 2026
This pledge reflects my values-led approach, commitment to integrity, and desire to do all I can to improve life on our planet by crafting communications that invite reflection and sustainable action. I believe in truth-telling over persuasion: marketing should illuminate, not manipulate. I choose language that informs, invites, and respects the agency of the audience. As a disabled and neurodivergent business owner, I also value accessibility and inclusion which means designing for real people with diverse needs, perspectives, and lived experiences.

I am making the ethical pledge because there is a lot of fantasy and vulnerability linked to the idea of publishing a book. While there are scam operators, many more book editors and coaches don’t request informed consent, leaving authors receiving edits that don’t serve them.
Chelsea Plowman | Magpie Copy
July 18, 2026
I’m making the ethical move as a copywriter because I want to be and work with brands that are a force for good in the world. I want to help market products and services (including my own) based on their value, rather than using manipulative tactics that cause more harm than good.
Joy Justice | Rooted Ceremonies
July 18, 2026
I am making the Ethical Move because in a world of fierce competition and jostling to be seen, it’s easy to feel like I have to do the same but this is not what is needed by the people I’m looking for, neither does it create a healthy collaborative vibe amongst those working in the same industry!

I am making The Ethical Move because I am tired of sellers using manipulative tactics, and I feel terrible when I feel pressured into using them for my business. I’m also a neurodivergent person, so anyone pressuring me into doing anything for any reason doesn’t feel right in my soul.
John Clark | Courageous Humans
July 18, 2026
I am making this pledge because it aligns with my mission and principles. I commit to treating every human being I meet with dignity and respect. I value relationships over money, love over profit, and kindness above all else.
Rachelle Momberg | Yellow Bunny
July 18, 2026
I founded Yellow Bunny more than a decade ago after years in advertising, where I saw first-hand how marketing could be used unethically, even by some of the biggest corporate brands. I wanted to do things differently. Yellow Bunny was built on the belief that communications should be transparent, ethical and purposeful. We supporting brands and businesses that are making a positive impact in the world. It’s a decision I’ve never regretted.
